Nostalgia is the good feeling you get when you remember things from your past. When you kind of sit back and smile and think to yourself, wow, that was fun, or happy.

Nostalgic: a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one’s life, to one’s home or homeland, or to one’s family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time:

I suppose we are all nostalgic to some degree, however I think somehow I got a double dose. I love  ”things” that belonged to loved ones, but only the things that when I look at them, I can recall a vivid picture of them either wearing, using or that particular object. Im the same way about certain smells, songs, etc. Im sentimental and nostalgic. Pictures for me though are the most cherished of all!! So I decided to redo my blog header with nostalgic pictures of MY childhood, because after all, they say the best thing for branding is to just be YOU. This is the real me, this is who you get when you hire Tracy dee, yeah Im a little older now, ok… a lot older lol  A happy fun lovin gal that loves nature and being outdoors. I do plan to incorporate some new portraits of me in the mix just as soon as the weather warms up enough for me to put a cute little dress on and frolic around a bit!

The Season is upon us. The Season for Family pics for the Christmas card anyway! lol The first 3 families to book their sessions before the end of Sept will get a complementy set of 25 cards. Please email me for specific details.

I have been working on these for some time. Ive used images from some of my most recent shoots. I used images from a family shoot, a newborn shoot and my most recent Senior shoo, just to show how versitile these  cards are! I love them all!!

It seemed strange to me that we had never met when the Hansen’s lived in the same town as my family and me. We have a ton of the same friends, and lived very close by. I suppose at the time the hubby and I were busy with little ones and didn’t get out much. These days the Hansen’s live in North Carolina. So how did we finally met you might ask? Face Book of course! Olivia saw my pictures that I had shot for a friend that we both had in common and messaged me. I love how FB connects people! She and the family were planning on coming to town over the Summer, so of course we started planning for a family shoot!

Clapping games seemed to keep the girls from getting too bored! Remember “cey, cey, ol playmate, come out               and play with me, and bring your dollies 3, climb up my apple tree…… I rocked at clapping games! lol

And who can resist a few “Daydream  Blends”  of these sweet darlings?

"Daydream Blend"
Our origional location we had planned to do our shoot suddenly changed their hours, so I found myself        without a well thought out place to shoot. I confess as I pulled up and found the gates closed panic set in! I called     Olivia and said, “give me 10 mins to think of an alternative spot” lol I knew of this little spot but had never shot    here before….I decided to just go with it! I do believe it worked out just fine, and I know I’ll be shooting here    again. It was just magical at the hr. we were there.
